Calling all NYC future songwriters, hip hop artists, and label CEO’s. Fred The Godson Foundation is partnering with Bronx community centers to bring the “Bar 4 Bar” music composition program to youth ages 14 & up in the Bronx/ NYC area. This program will develop the students understanding of how to make a quality, professional hip hop song or freestyle. Bar 4 Bar is a 10-week program where students will be immersed in a weekly 2 hour workshop focused on how to write lyrics, hooks, melodies and more. Students will learn how to formulate ideas and concepts by studying hip hop history, creative writing, delivery, freestyle and more important how to turn their struggle into art. Classes will be facilitated by educators, industry professionals and URL/ MTV’s Wild N’ Out top battle rappers.
